About

Brinda Shah is the author of the middle grade novel in verse, TO HER OWN BEAT (Chronicle Kids Books, 2027). She is a former pharmacist, an avid reader, and a perpetual thinker. Her writing is at the intersection of culture, identity, and humanity. She is inspired by her Indian heritage, the whimsy required to raise a child, and observations of the world around. When she isn’t writing, you can find her collecting stamps in her passport, baking, hiking in national parks, or riding her bike. She is the Dallas lead of Authors Against Book Bans and a member of SCBWI.
